Friedrich Gray

Friedrich Gray - Self taught fashion designer, Ben Pollit has created Friedrich Gray, with an aesthetic that is dark and clothes that have a luxury feel. The designer's philosophy - "Never compromise quality for price, black before white, and understated rather than complicated." - is evident in each Friedrich Gray piece.

In April 2007, Ben presented his own off schedule fashion parade during Australian Fashion Week. The show was held in an old church The Kirk in Surry Hills. It was touted as one of the best shows of the week by Harper's Bazaar and named by retailer Belinda Seper as her top young designer to watch. Ben's work has also been photographed by i-D magazine, Nylon NY and Black Magazine in New York. To end a phenomenal year for the young designer, Ben was named the fashion winner of the prestigious Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards 2007.

The Spring/Summer 2008 collection continues Friedrich Gray's underlying theme of black, black.. and black. Look out for Friedrich Gray to appear in select New York boutiques this season.
