As a label that has come to represent Melbourne fashion to such a degree, it is clear that Alpha60's creators, Alex and Georgie Cleary, have come a long way from the rose farm in Canberra where they spent their childhood.

A complimentary brother-sister duo - Georgie brings a design background to Alex's engineering experience - the pair have created a unique inimitable label known for its fresh, graphic take on classic styles and cuts.

Unwilling to put constraints on their passionately creative approach, the pair have embraced a range of influences, with everyone from Kate Moss to Jean-Luc Goddard to Alfred E Newman making unexpected appearances.

The label launched in 2002, debuting their collection alongside Vivienne Westwood at the NGV and placing as finalists in the LMFF Tiffany & Co Designer of the Year competition, getting picked up by distributors, first across Australia and then through Japan, New York and France.
